It took me 5 years to finally meet someone that could get on top of the Welsh Baby Carriage Factory, now called the Soulard Market Loft Apartments near the farmers market. I was allowed up while some major renovations were being done turning the place into condos. After I was finished I went to get on the lift to take me down. One of the workers in the building yelled at me in an angry tone "Whats in the bag!" I said my paints and easel as I held up the painting just before the lifts doors closed. The guy just looked at me with a puzzle face. After the doors closed I asked the guys around me what was that all about? Turns out some people had been coming in and acting like construction workers stealing tools. My answer and the painting took him by surprise.
